My Hero

Somebody I really look up to as my hero is my older sister Olivia. I really look up to her because before she moved to collage we never really got along, but now that she is in collage we realized that I actually miss being together and the good times we had together. But my first reason that she is my hero is because I can talk to her about everything like if I get in a fight with any of my friends or my parent I always talk to her about it, and she always comforts me. The second reason is that if she visits home she always wants to hangout with me and that means a lot to me because when I was younger she never wanted to hangout with me and I would always be the one asking. And for my last reason is that she always makes me laugh even when I’m said no matter what.

My 2023 Word

This year I am going to focus on the word focus. I gonna focus on this word because I always get distracted on small things, and it can cause me to forget things a lot so I need to focus on. Like in school if the teacher is teaching something important to focus so that you can do school work right without having to ask anyone. Even doing a sport or at home like in a sport you need to focus on what your coach is telling you so that you can get better. And at home if your parents are telling you to do chores or walk your dog you can’t forget. Focusing is a very important life skill because you need to focus in almost every situation.

My December Rad Reading

For my December rad reading I choose the book Sunny Makes a Slash. This book is about a girl named Sunny, it’s summer and Sunny is looking for something cooler to do than just babysit her little brother. She decides to go to the pool and one of her friends that’s a bit older than her works the snack bar there. Sunny thinks about how cool it would be working there, not just sells food but watching pool drama plus she would be making money at the same time. Sunny never really had any friends everyone at her school was either mean to her or were just weird. So Sunny asks the manager of the snack bar for a job he looks at her up and down and says “aren’t you too young for a job?” Sunny reply’s by saying “I’m 12 I think I can handle it just watch and see” he decides to give her a chance. A couple weeks later Sunny had so much money she decided to go to the mall and get some stuff for herself. Then she accidentally bumped into someone her name was Sarah they talked for a little and realized they had a lot in common. They exchanged number and Sunny went home, right when she got there she laid in her bed and started texting Sarah right away they texted for hours till it was dark! Eventually Sunny had to go to sleep. In the morning, Sunny had to go work. While  she didn’t have any customers. She texted Sarah  they were planning on hanging out with each other. Sunny was gonna go over to Sarahs house that day after work. They hung out all day and decided that they should have a sleep over. They talked all night and sunny found out that Sarah didn’t have many friends either. After that, they hung out almost every day. Sarah even went over to the pool that sunny works at. But then summer flew by and it was finally school again. They had to go to their separate ways because they didn’t go to the same School. But overall that was sunny’s best summer ever.

I recommend this book because it’s a great way for people to learn that summer isn’t always about having friends. It’s about making new ones but finding a relationship with someone that you can actually enjoy.

My favorite character is sunny because a lot of people can relate to her and many people been in her situation where if you don’t have many friends, you can still enjoyed the ones that you have

My favorite quotes is definitely “life isn’t always about having friends, but even if you have one good relationship keep it.” That is my favorite quote because it’s very inspiring and it could  tell people that you don’t always have to have a lot of friends to be a fun person.
